I talk about how having deep expertise can actually make it harder to break your work down into simple, teachable steps. When something feels natural and intuitive to you, it can be surprisingly difficult to articulate the process. I also see many coaches defaulting to hourly pricing because that’s what they’re used to from the workplace. The problem is, that often leads to undercharging, burnout, and a lack of clarity around the true value of what they offer.
In the episode, I outline why valuing yourself properly is essential. I share how to create packaged offers and build a value ladder—from self-study options through to higher-tier one-to-one services. I explain how to map your client’s transformational journey into a signature system or methodology, and I introduce my digital SIMAC method (in both nine-step and twelve-step versions). For me, success comes from having the right steps in the right order—not from a random or ad hoc setup.
I also encourage listeners to start with clarity: What specific problem are you solving? Who exactly are you helping? How is your solution different? From there, I explain how to build a sustainable revenue model with well-priced packages—typically starting at a minimum of £1,500, with higher tiers depending on the value and positioning.
Finally, I invite listeners to pause and reflect. Consider raising your prices—even if that means doubling your hourly rate. Work backwards from your desired monthly income and reframe any limiting beliefs about whether your work can truly be packaged. And if you’d like guidance on how to do that, I’m always open to connecting.
